Chichibu Fudasho No.10 Daiji-ji Temple
Founded in 1490, the temple enshrines a rare Kannon statue in a seated meditation posture as its principal image, which is believed to date from the late 14th century.
On the upper front of the hall is a carving of a pair of married dragons, where people pray for success in love and a harmonious married life.
The temple was also featured in the 2015 anime film the Anthem of the Heart, and it still attracts many fans today.

- A Confucian Scholar
Long ago, a violent man lived in this area. He often spoke badly of Buddhism and caused constant disputes and trouble.
Seeing his behavior, Kannon appeared in the form of a monk and visited him. The monk gently taught him about Buddhist teachings and the heart of compassion.
Hearing this, the man finally understood the true value of Buddhism and truly felt sorry for his past actions.
After the man changed his heart, the monk returned to his original form as Kannon and quietly disappeared.
Deeply moved, the man decided to change his life and follow the Buddhist path. He built a temple here, named it Daiji-ji, and devoted himself to preserving the teachings of Buddha.
