Chichibu’s hot spring heritage spans over 1,200 years, deeply rooted in the legends of the "Seven Springs". These include Yakushi-no-Yu, discovered over a millennium ago; Araki-no-Yu, guided by deities and protected by a single family for nine generations; and Hato-no-Yu, where two mysterious doves led a wounded soldier to healing. Interestingly, Chichibu’s waters possess a unique characteristic: they are naturally cold, mineral-rich waters known as Kosen. To ensure perfect comfort, these pure waters are carefully heated to around 45°C before reaching your bath, maintaining their exceptional healing properties.
