On its right is the Kairo-do, which means \u201cCorridor Hall.\u201d It was built after the 1782\u201388 famine to pray for protection from future hardships and was later renovated in 1976. Inside are replicas of the principal images from the 88 Shikoku Pilgrimage temples.<br \/>The Fuda-do Hall is the only surviving stand-alone votive hall among the Chichibu pilgrimage sites. The remaining nails and marks on its pillars show where pilgrims once fastened their wooden votive tablets.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Main Hall is said to have been built in 1710.
